Always the go-to, unofficial photographer…
About me
Hello! I’m Matt, a dad of two (one fur-baby and one tiny human). I’m an extrovert, so take my energy for those around me… this means I get really invested in the people I work with. I’m also a huge foodie and love the great outdoors.
Back in time
I remember when I was a kid and obsessed with planets and dinosaurs. My grandma took me to the museum one day and this is where I was given a camera for the first time. I think this is where my photography journey started.
Over the years since then, I’ve definitely graduated from ‘make sure your fingers don’t cover the lens’ and seem to always be the go-to for anyone wanting a photo because, as I’ve been told by many people, I ‘have an eye for it’ or ‘always take the best photos’.
On reflection
Thinking about this, I know I have a very high level of attention to detail and I believe that this leads me to seeing the things that others don’t always notice. This doesn’t stop just with physical objects; I’m a very empathetic person and seem to naturally pick up on subtle things that help me connect with people - a really useful skill when taking photos of them!
I enjoy taking photos because I love being a part of capturing something that makes people happy. I’m a creative person and enjoy producing works of art with my camera. Aside from this, I’m a bit of a perfectionist and always challenge myself to produce better images every time. This drives me to take the best photos not only for those I work with, but also for myself. Sounds like a win/win situation to me!
Why me?
Although I’ve taken photos for years, it’s only over the past few years that I’ve decided to branch out and work on photography as a profession . This means one thing for you - opportunities to showcase what I can do are just as important to me as getting paid. What should you expect from me? Someone who is honest, communicates well, values you as a person and gets on board with your vision, producing quality results.
